Jane Lynch, who is best known for
playing Coach Sue Sylvester on the Fox musical-comedy Glee,
says divorce is hard.
Last month, Lynch announced that she is
splitting from her wife of three years, Dr. Lara Embry.
The women married in a private ceremony
in Sunderland, Massachusetts in 2010, a year after they had met at a
fundraiser held in Embry's honor in San Francisco. Among those in
the wedding party was Embry's daughter, Haden.
When Larry King Now host Larry
King asked Lynch “what happened?” she replied: “It's two people
who just decide it's better to go apart than stay together.”
“Friends?” King asked.
“Yeah, all's good. And we have a
little girl, she has a little girl, who's very dear to me,” Lynch
answered.
“Are you close to the girl?”
“To Haden? Yes. Yes. Yeah.”
Lynch agreed that divorce was hard,
then added that “you have to remain adults, which we have.”
“We keep everybody's, especially
Haden's, good in our mind,” she said. (The video is embedded on
