Video sharing site YouTube on Thursday
released a Pride Video celebrating LGBT Pride month.
“At YouTube, we believe that everyone
has the right to love and be loved. We strive to make YouTube a
place where all communities can feel proud to express themselves and
connect through video. That's why we're proud to stand with the LGBT
community and support equal rights and marriage equality for all,”
the site wrote in releasing the nearly 2-minute video.
The video, which stitches together
content from 40 YouTube videos, will be featured on the YouTube
Spotlight channel.
With a Macklemore & Ryan Lewis
“Same Love” soundtrack, the video includes footage of young
people coming out to their parents, happy couples and jubilant
reaction in San Francisco to the news that Proposition 8,
California's gay marriage ban, is dead. It ends with a lesbian
couple's engagement during a Macklemore concert. (The video is
embedded on this page. Visit
