Conservative personality Laura Ingraham
has denied that she's anti-gay.
In an interview with Larry King,
Ingraham, a former speechwriter in the Ronald Reagan administration,
said that being called anti-gay was “inaccurate.”
When King asked whether Ingraham was
once described as an “anti-homosexual,” she responded: “I'm
sure I'm described as a lot of things that are inaccurate.”
“That was an unfair thing to say?”
King asked.
“That was completely unfair. But
this is what happens people will say you're this or that to try to
demean your point of view and that is just as hateful, and that is
just as negative, and that is just as stereotyping as they allege the
other people are about them,” Ingraham answered.
“I'm a Roman Catholic and I believe
that marriage is between a man and a woman. That having being said,
people should be able to get benefits, and respect. Everyone should

While in 1997 Ingraham denounced her
previous anti-gay rhetoric, as recently as March, in a The
O'Reilly Factor guest host appearance, she appeared to agree with
Dr. Keith Ablow when he said that gay marriage would inevitably lead
to polygamy.
