Producers of the upcoming film Where We Belong on Wednesday released a clip from the movie.

The movie stars Frankie Valenti, known in the gay adult film industry as Johnny Hazzard.

In the film, Valenti plays a gay man who is attempting to reconnect with his gay brother following the death of their homophobic father. The older brother (played by Mark Strano, also the movie's co-writer) has taken care of the father while he was sick.

Director-producer Wade Gasque said he's always been intrigued by the subject of gay siblings.

“I have a handful of gay sibling friends and I've always been fascinated by their stories but I've never seen a movie about them,” Gasque said. “What was it like growing up together? Does it make the experience less isolating? How do you disappoint mom and dad, twice?”

This is not Valenti's first stab at acting in a non-adult role. He played a minor role in The Lair, cabler Here!'s gay-themed vampire series.

“This is my chance to showcase what I've got,” Valenti said. “I want to be that guy who crosses over.”

On directing Valenti, Gasque told On Top Magazine, “There's a rawness to Frankie. He's not afraid to take risks and it pays off in his performance.”

Gasque released the one-and-a-half minute clip from the film as part of a Kickstarter campaign to raise $6,000 in six days to finance the completion of the film.
