A two-and-a-half minute video featuring
a teenaged girl rapping against gay rights has gone viral on YouTube.
In the video, released over 8 months
ago and titled Rated
T for Tolerance, a young girl uses rhymes to condemn gay men
and lesbians.
“Don't propagate your hate because I
have a higher standard on who you date / I'm not here to rally
against what the government legislates / I simply don't support a
mind that is reprobate / Homosexuality is not innate / It is not a
genetic trait / Cannot replicate the love between a man and a woman
in which God did indeed create,” she raps.
Cenk Uygur and Ana Kasparian of The
Young Turks called the video, which has been viewed more than
216,000 times, one of the “most ridiculous anti-gay 'raps' ever.”
“The whole video I was trying to
figure out if she was a lesbian,” said Uygur. “At one point
she's talking about how homosexuality is intoxicating. I was like,
'Oh, is that right?'”
“She says, 'Bake in the lake of fire
for love's sake,'” Kasparian noted.
“Who are you talking to? You talking
to us, or are you talking to yourself?” Uygur rhetorically asked.
“And I got it, you can make things rhyme with eight, ok.” (The

According
to Kathy Baldock of Canyon Walker Connections, an LGBT-supportive
Christian organization, the young girl featured in the video is
Jessica Kanani.
