During an appearance on Anderson
Live!, Patti Stanger of cabler Bravo's Millionaire Matchmaker
discussed the challenges to gay matchmaking.
Stanger told host Anderson Cooper that
gay men lack oxytocin, often referred to as “the love hormone.”
Oxytocin came up when Stanger began to
explain her rule for no sex on a first date.
“Yeah, because you're all on Grindr
and grinding away,” she said in discussing gay clients. “I'm
going to get so much hate mail after this. But the truth of the
matter is you're all like hitting it and then deciding in the
morning, because you don't have oxytocin. You don't have oxytocin.”
“Oxytocin is a hormone in the body
that's fueled by estrogen which makes us fall in love with you
because we get one juicy, goosey orgasm.”
“It basically makes you fall in love
with anybody, including a loser.”
“And guys don't have that?” Cooper
asked.
“No, guys don't have it. At all.
