Lisa Biron, a lawyer who has worked
with the Christian conservative Alliance Defending Freedom (ADF), has
been convicted on federal child pornography charges.
According to WMUR,
Biron, 43, was convicted on eight federal indictments on charges of
child sexual exploitation, transporting a child across state lines to
produce child pornography and possession of child pornography.
Several sources are reporting that the
14-year-old child involved was Biron's own daughter.
FBI agents arrested Biron in November
as she awaited a hearing on child pornography charges at Manchester,
New Hampshire's district court.
A man tipped the Manchester Police
Department that he saw pornography on Biron's computer. With a
search warrant, officers searched her home and filed the charges
against Biron on October 9.
Police contacted federal authorities
after they determined that the images were manufactured in Canada.
An FBI search of her home turned up 200
rounds of ammunition, according to the Concord Monitor.
Biron's trial lasted only one day.
Testifying were the two men who said they had sex with the defendant
and with her daughter multiple times. One of the men turned himself
into police after he learned that the girl was not 18 as she had
claimed.
Biron is scheduled to be sentenced in
April.
ADF is the leading group representing
clients who claim gay marriage laws violate their Christian beliefs.
