During an appearance Friday on CBS'
Late Night, CNN anchor Anderson Cooper told David Letterman
that he prefers to be called “light in the loafers” rather than
homosexual.
The 45-year-old Cooper announced he's
gay last year after ducking rumors about his sexual orientation for
years.
On Late Night, Letterman
attempted a two-stage fist bump with Anderson, who after bungling the
bump pulled back his hand and said, “Hey, I'm gay. We don't do
this kind of thing. I don't know, I don't know. That's making me
nervous.”
“I wish I had a nickle for every time
I heard that in my life, 'Dave I'm gay, we don't do this kind of
thing,'” Letterman joked.
Letterman then got serious, asking,
“This is interesting to me. You made it be known, beyond your
immediate family and friends, that you're a homosexual. And why at
this point in your life ...”
“We prefer the term light in the
