Actress Kirstie Alley says John Travolta is not gay.

The 61-year-old Alley and Travolta starred opposite each other in three Look Who's Talking films.

Rumors that Travolta is gay have dogged the 58-year-old Travolta for years. In recent months, multiple men have stepped forward to claim they had affairs with Travolta, witnessed Travolta having sex with other men or were sexually harassed by Travolta. Travolta's lawyer has denied all the allegations.

In an upcoming ABC News interview previewed on Wednesday, Barbara Walters asked Alley about the rumors.

“I know John,” Alley said. “With all my heart and soul, he's not gay. I think it's some weird way in Hollywood, if someone gets big enough and famous enough and they're not out doing drugs and they're not womanizing, what do you say about them? I think that people think that's the supreme insult: He's gay.”

Alley also said she was once madly in love in Travolta, calling him “the love of my life.” (The video is embedded on this page. Visit our video library for more videos.)

Alley's tell-all memoir, The Art of Men (I Prefer Mine al Dente), arrived on bookshelves Tuesday.
