Actress Pauley Perrette stars in a new
ad for all-gay cabler Logo in which she lauds the contributions of
gay rights allies.
The 43-year-old Perrette is best known
for playing Abby Sciuto on the CBS crime drama NCIS.
In the 30-second ad, Perrette talks
about the importance of straight people standing up for gay rights.
“During the women's suffrage movement
it was really important that men stood up for women, and I really
appreciate that. In the 60s, the civil rights movement then every
person of color was representing themselves other people that came in
and helped and fought for that because they believe in civil rights,
because they believe in equal rights.”
“Right now it's super important that
people understand that this movement here that straight people have
to stand up as allies for the LGBT community. Because we either have
equal rights or we don't.” (The video is embedded on this page.
