Actress Pauley Perrette stars in a new ad for all-gay cabler Logo in which she lauds the contributions of gay rights allies.

The 43-year-old Perrette is best known for playing Abby Sciuto on the CBS crime drama NCIS.

In the 30-second ad, Perrette talks about the importance of straight people standing up for gay rights.

“During the women's suffrage movement it was really important that men stood up for women, and I really appreciate that. In the 60s, the civil rights movement then every person of color was representing themselves other people that came in and helped and fought for that because they believe in civil rights, because they believe in equal rights.”

“Right now it's super important that people understand that this movement here that straight people have to stand up as allies for the LGBT community. Because we either have equal rights or we don't.” (The video is embedded on this page. Visit our video library for more videos.)
