Actress Gina Gershon has said her love
life might have been easier if she were a lesbian.
The 50-year-old Gershon is best know
for her roles in the movies Cocktail, Showgirls, Bound,
Face/Off and Demonlover.
“The gay guys seem to gravitate
towards me from Showgirls,” she said in an interview with
CNN. “And then the gay girls seem to gravitate towards me from
Bound. And I get the transgenders. I get the really
interesting, cool fans.”
“I have to say: I love that fan base.
I think I've probably said life might have been easier had I
actually been a lesbian. Maybe like my love life would have been a
little bit easier. Although that's probably not true.”
“The lesbians – I mean I don't mean
to be sexist or whatever the word would be – but they do get me the
best presents as fans. I get good gifts from them,” she added.
Gershon also commented on tabloid
rumors linking her romantically to President Bill Clinton.
“I just wasn't true. I just found it
so insulting to President Clinton and to Hillary Clinton,” she
said. (The video is embedded on this page. Visit

Gershon's new autobiography, In
Search of Cleo: How I Found My Pussy and Lost My Mind, arrives
October 15.
