Despite an apology from Paris Hilton,
all-gay cabler Logo has decided to shelve a film about the hotel
heiress over her anti-gay remarks.
Hilton apologized the day after a
secretly recorded conversation with a gay male friend was released to
the media. In the clip, Hilton is heard calling gay men on hookup
app Grindr “disgusting” and likely to have AIDS.
“Gays are the horniest people in the
world,” Hilton said. “They're disgusting. Dude, most of them
probably have AIDS. I would be so scared if I were a gay guy.
You'll like die of AIDS.”
Hilton said she wished she “could
take back every word” in her apology.
“Gay people are the strongest and
most inspiring people I know,” she added.
Apparently, that did not suffice.
Citing the controversy, Logo said that it had yanked the 2007
documentary Paris Hilton Inc. from its schedule, the New
York Post reported.
Easton Ellis: I kind of agree with Paris Hilton on Grindr gays.)
