Gay Olympian Megan Rapinoe, who scored
three goals for the U.S. women's soccer team at the London Olympics
to help her team win the gold, says there is nothing wrong with her

Rapinoe, a 27-year-old midfielder for
the Seattle Sounders Women, publicly came out gay before heading to
London. She added in an ESPN op-ed that she is “very proud of who

discussed her decision to come out.
“I feel like they [young gay
athletes] have someone to kind of look up to … would be really cool
for them. I don't feel like – you know there's anything wrong with
me. And, actually I feel like I'm pretty special,” she said. (The
