Fox Nation's Todd Starnes has called
Chick-Fil-A protesters “anti-Christian, anti-chicken heterophobic
bigots.”
The fast-food chain with more than
1,600 outlets mostly in the South was flooded on Wednesday with a
show of support for its CEO Dan Cathy, who created a firestorm of
controversy when he said gay marriage is “inviting God's judgment
on our nation.”
The Chick-Fil-A Appreciation Day was
organized by former Arkansas Governor and Baptist minister Mike
Huckabee. Former presidential hopefuls Rick
Santorum, Newt
Gingrich and Michele
Bachmann also showed support.
“God-fearing Americans are sending a
message to militant homosexual activists – and their Democratic
handlers,” Starns wrote. “'We love chicks.'”
“I suspect that the public flogging
of Chick-Fil-A has awakened a sleeping giant evangelical, pro-family,
patriotic Americans – who are rising up to say enough,” he
added.
