Lady Gaga, Alec Baldwin, Tyra Banks and
Josh Groban are among the celebrities cheering President Barack
Obama's gay marriage support.
Obama
on Wednesday told ABC News' Robin Roberts: “I've concluded that
for me personally it is important for me to go ahead and affirm that
I think same sex couples should be able to get married.”
The news quickly went viral on social
networks.
Lady Gaga messaged to her nearly 24
million followers: “Obama, congratulations on being the first
sitting President to support marriage equality. Feels like the
future, and not the past. #NoFear.”
“Obama gets it right on gay marriage.
Bravo,” 30 Rock's Alec Baldwin tweeted.
Tyra Banks added: “A fierce day for
my gays and prez @BarackObama – way 2 stand up 4 luv for ALL!”
“Historic!! #equality,” Josh Groban
messaged.
Samantha Ronson also applauded the
president: “Better late than never!!!! Obama supports same-sex
marriage.”

Lambert, Jane Lynch, Neil Patrick Harris, Adam Levine, Ricky
Martin, Chris Colfer, Cyndi Lauper and Ellen DeGeneres also
cheered on the president.
