Dreamworks Animation employees have
reached out to troubled gay teens in an It Gets Better video.
The It Gets Better Project encourages
bullied LGBT teens considering suicide to hang in there, because life
eventually gets better.
“Dealing with being gay just really
did a number on me,” says a female employee in the nearly 7 minute
video. “I felt very shameful and my heart felt just always hollow
and sore. And I went through a lot of depression and contemplated
suicide.”
“The life that has unfolded for me
has been amazing since junior high,” a man says. “Your first
kiss. Your first partner and your first date. There's just so much
more out there,” a woman continues. “If I wasn't around there
are lives that would be different because I wasn't in them,” a man

Dreamworks is the latest large
corporation to create such a video, joining Disney,
Intel,
Dell,
Google,
Microsoft
and Apple.
