Gay glossy The Advocate's list of who wields the most influence on Twitter ranks the top 5 gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgender people on the social network based on the celebrity's following.

Ricky Martin (@ricky_martin) tops the gay men's list with over 4.1 million followers, followed by Perez Hilton (@PerezHilton) with 3.9 million, Stephen Fry (@stephenfry) with 3.1 million, Neil Patrick Harris (@ActuallyNPH) with 1.9 million and Adam Lambert (@adamlambert) with 1.2 million.

Ellen DeGeneres (@TheEllenShow) tops the lesbian list with over 7.7 million followers, followed by Rachel Maddow (@maddow) with 1.9 million, Samantha Ronson (@samantharonson) with 1.6 million and Jane Lynch (@janemarielynch) with over 351,000.

Lady Gaga (@ladygaga) tops the bisexual list with over 14 million followers, followed by Nicki Minaj (@NICKIMINAJ) with 6.1 million, Lindsay Lohan (@lindsaylohan) with 2.5 million, Pete Wentz (@petewentz) with 2.3 million and Ke$ha (@keshasuxx) with 2.2 million.

Chaz Bono (@ChazBono) tops the transgender list with over 66,000 followers, followed by Ina Fried (@inafried) with nearly 24,000, Amanda Lepore (@Amanda_Lepore) with nearly 16,000, Justin Vivian Bond (@mxjustinVbond) with nearly 9,000 and Buck Angel (@BuckAngel) with nearly 9,000.
